Richard Shmel

Intercept, demodulate, decode, attack. Students drive real SDR hardware from the first session, build receivers in GNU Radio, transmit, and finish against a custom wireless target they reverse-engineer and compromise. Pre-course video lectures and the student VM are included; no prior RF experience needed.
An optional HackRF One bundle is available at checkout for $600 — the HackRF One, antenna, metal case and an upgraded crystal oscillator, yours to keep.

Registration
$2,500 per seat
Seats are $2,500. The coupon code RSHMEL takes $250 off, and expires 17 October. Questions, or asking about running the training privately for your team — [email protected] or 206-678-4995.
SDR 101 also runs as a five-day deep dive at $4,000 per seat, and in custom-tailored editions cut to an organization's own timeline. Both include SDR hardware, all training material and the capstone target.
Most seats are expensed. Purchase orders, itemized invoices with net-30 terms, W-9s and payment by bank transfer are all available — email [email protected]. There is a group rate for three or more seats from one organization, and every training qualifies for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit.
Other events
Registration is open now for both November 2026 events. Two Wireshark courses with Chris Greer follow on June 26–27, and two more 2027 dates — March and October — are held at the same venue with trainers being confirmed.
